Bomb explodes outside Presidential palace in Cairo, one police officer injured

A police officer was wounded after a bomb exploded outside the presidential palace in Cairo on Thursday, AFP quoted Egyptian police as saying.

A suspect riding a motorbike lobbed the explosive device toward the al-Qubba palace before fleeing the seen.
Egypt has experienced a string of bombings since the toppling of its post-revolution president, the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Muhammad Morsi.
Morsi was replaced by Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a former Minister of Defense, whose regime has been plagued by an insurgency since he was sworn into office in June of 2014.
