Canadian sends thousands of toys for children in South

A Jewish Canadian toy store CEO has shipped 250 boxes containing thousands of toys for children living in southern Israel who have been repeatedly forced into bomb shelters as thousands of rockets are launched at their communities by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
According to a Jerusalem Municipality official, Ronnen Harary, the CEO of Spin Master, one of the world’s largest toy stores, asked how he could contribute during the conflict that has embroiled the nation for the past week. When told about the traumatized children whose southern communities have been under constant fire, Harary said he would send the toys by plane the next day.
Shipped in batches of 50 beginning on Saturday, the first boxes arrived Monday, with an additional 50 said to be arriving every day until Shabbat. On Tuesday, a truck will begin distributing the toys throughout the south for children of all ages, the official said.
