Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon will travel to Greece on Monday, where he will be hosted by his counterpart, Panos Kammenos.

The visit comes after Kammenos visited Israel in July. The two are expected to issue a joint declaration and meet with additional senior Greek defense officials.

Ya’alon said on Sunday, “Greece is an important ally to Israel in the Mediterranean Sea, and cooperation between the IDF and the Greek military is productive and broad. From our perspective, there is great significance in safeguarding and furthering defense ties with Greece.”
