Demonstrators set fire to part of Gabon parliament building

Demonstrators set fire to part of Gabon's parliament building on Wednesday, a witness said, after the government announced that President Ali Bongo was re-elected in a weekend vote that his main challenger said he had won.
"The demonstrators entering from the back and set fire to the National Assembly ... Part of the building is on fire," said the witness, who asked not to be named out of fear of reprisal. Firemen arrived and were attempting to put out the flames, he said.
The Bongo family has ruled the oil-producing central African country for half a century.
