Egged strike planned for Jerusalem Wednesday

Beginning 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Egged bus services will be suspended in all of Jerusalem for the entire day, the Histadrut announced on Monday.
The strike is serving as a "warning strike," occurring due to the conduct of Egged's management toward its drivers as well as the state's negligence in safeguarding the company as an important transportation asset in Israel, according to the Histradrut.
"Egged is at the edge of an abyss," said Avi Nissenkorn, chairman of the Histadrut. "I regret that instead of strengthening the drivers who perform their jobs properly, they are doing the opposite."
