Ex-deputy FM Ayalon takes post as visiting prof. at Yeshiva University

Former deputy foreign minister Danny Ayalon will take the post of visiting professor of Foreign Policy Studies at Yeshiva University for the spring 2014 semester, the school announced Monday.
Ayalon was deputy foreign minister from 2008 until 2012, and worked in the Foreign Service for more than 20 years. He was Israeli ambassador to the United States from 2002 to 2006.
The former minister has also been embroiled in several controversies, including the decision to seat the Turkish ambassador on a significantly lower chair during a meeting in 2010, which was deliberately intended to be a slight.
He was also a key witness for the prosecution in the trial of Avigdor Liberman, which ended in Liberman being acquitted.
