France orders Nice policing inquiry after Bastille Day attack

PARIS - France's government, facing mounting criticism over security in Nice on the night of last week's deadly attack, said on Thursday it was ordering an inquiry by the national police inspectorate to shed light on the matter.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve announced the move after accusations by politicians from the Nice city area that security arrangements were insufficient for the July 14 national holiday celebrations, where the man drove a large truck into crowds as they left a fireworks display, killing 84 and injuring hundreds.
