Gabbay and Peretz kick off voting in Labor runoff elections

Labor leadership candidates Gabbay and and Amir Peretz kicked off the voting Monday by casting ballots at 11 a.m. when polling stations opened. Gabbay told reporters at polling station in Jerusalem that voter turnout would decide the election.
"High turnout will bring us to victory and a new start for Labor party," Gabbay said. "A low turnout will lead us to what has been. Statistics can be beaten. It depends on all of us. Don't let the weather decide instead of you."
