According to reports, Hamas has accepted a Red Cross proposal for a two-hour cease-fire in fighting with Israel in Gaza.

The cease-fire is intended to allow paramedics in Gaza to treat wounded in the northeastern Gaza neighborhood of Shejaia after the IDF ramped up its offensive in the neighborhood with widespread shelling.

At least twenty Palestinians were killed in the shelling and hundreds wounded.

Israel is reportedly deliberating whether or not to accept the temporary proposal.
