Harel Insurance signs pact with Japan firm

Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. signed a global cooperation agreement with Japan’s Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Company on Sunday.
Sompo Japan is one of the three largest insurance companies in the country and employees some 80,000 people. It owns Lloyd’s and recently purchased Endurance, another insurance company.
Harel president Gideon Hamburger said such agreements give the company the ability to better assist Israeli companies in their overseas activities.
