Hazardous materials spill onto highway 6 after car accident

The contents of a truck carrying hazardous materials spilled on highway 6 Tuesday morning after being struck by a private vehicle.

Firefighter and rescue teams were called to the scene of the incident located near Kiryat Gat in the South of Israel and blocked off the road in both directions.

The truck was carrying ammonia to a disposal facility before being struck.

One person in the accident sustained moderate injuries and was taken nearby hospital for further treatment.
