High Court: Natural gas policy unconstitutional, state has 1 year to fix it

The High Court ruled on Sunday that the natural gas deal struck by the government was unconstitutional, and gave Prime Minister Netanyahu a year to fix the problematic aspects of the deal.

The court claimed that Netanyahu has the right to overrule the antitrust commissioner for national security reasons, however Deputy Supreme Court president Elyakim Rubinstein's explained that the 10 year price control rule was unconstitutional, stating "the government does not have the power to decide not to decide and not to act."
