Palestinian terrorists set off a roadside bomb on the Gaza - Israel border on Wednesday morning, targeting an IDF unit near the border fence. The blast caused light damage to engineering vehicles, but failed to cause any injuries.

The unit returned fire, targeting areas it suspected were being used by the attackers.

"Terrorist elements take advantage of the area near the fence to plant explosives and carry out terror attack against the IDF and Israeli citizens," the military said after the incident.
