IDF to impose general closure on West Bank

The IDF will impose a general closure on the West Bank from Sunday evening, the start of Remembrance Day for Fallen Soldiers of Israel and Victims of Terrorism, until Tuesday, when Independence Day festivities conclude.

The decision to impose the closure came on the heels of a security evaluation held by defense chiefs, and was ordered by Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon.

During the closure, passage through border crossings will be permitted only for humanitarian, medical, or unusual grounds, and pending the Civil Administration's approval.
