In an overnight press conference, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz gave an update on the IDF's role in the ongoing search for the three Israeli boys kidnapped by Hamas.

"We have a goal: to find these three boys and bring them home, and to damage Hamas as much as possible," said Gantz.

"We are dealing with a very serious incident that is also tied into other incidents," he said. "The IDF, in close cooperation with the other security forces, has been operating according to national-level orders for the past two days, wherever it needed as the scope of the investigation widens.  We will continue this work and do everything needed to bring this case to a close."
