Iran stated on Sunday that Israel's attack on Syria would “shorten the Zionist entity’s life,” Hezbollah's Al-Manar website reported.

"The attack carried out by the Zionist regime will shorten this fake regime's life," Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying on the website of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, as reported by Al-Manar.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast condemned the Israeli military aggression against Syria, Iranian Press TV reported.

He called for a regional response against Israel's acts which are aimed at creating instability in the region.

“The Zionist regime and its allies seek to create ethnic and religious discord among Muslim countries,” Mehmanparast said, according to the report.
