Israel and New Zealand agree to restore diplomatic ties

Israel and New Zealand  have ended their diplomatic spat that started after New Zealand the UN Security Council resolution  2334 against Israeli settlements in December 2016.
New Zealand's Prime Minister Bill English wrote a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he said he "regretted the damage that was done to Israeli-New Zealand relations as a result of [the vote], that New Zealand put forward to a vote Security Council resolution  2334."
"We will welcome the return of the Israeli Ambassador to Wellington."
After Netanyahu and English spoke on the phone the Prime Minister directed the Foreign Ministry to restore Israel's diplomatic presence in the country.
