Knesset hires more disabled employees

December 7, 2016 06:25

The Knesset continued its practice of creating jobs for people with disabilities, hiring eight more this week, in addition to the 18 who already work in the legislature.

In a ceremony marking the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein said “this process was especially emotional... It’s hard to describe what this means for those eight workers, when they learned they were accepted to work in the Knesset. It is a dream come true for them.”

Edelstein called on other government offices to learn from the Knesset’s example in this matter.
