New Jersey senator laments death of missing American yeshiva student in Jerusalem

US Senator Robert Menedez expressed his sympathies after the body of missing yeshiva student Aaron Sofer, from the legislators home state of New Jersey, was found in the Jerusalem Forest on Thursday.

"With the heartbreaking news of the death of Aaron Sofer, our worst nightmare has come true. There are no adequate words to convey my personal condolences to the Sofer family and to the people of Lakewood for this terrible loss," lamented Menendez, who serves as the chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
