PA arrests former officer after remarks on removal from post

Palestinian Authority security forces arrested a former Fatah official this week after he had spoken out about his removal from the party position in a televised interview, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.
The former spokesperson for Fatah's Jerusalem office was arrested in his West Bank home following an interview Tuesday evening on the Palestine Today channel.
According to Ma'an, he was the second Fatah officer to be removed from office over participation in a meeting of hundreds of local Fatah leaders that was broken up by PA security forces on Saturday.
