Palestinian carrying concealed knife apprehended at Shuafat checkpoint

A short time ago a Palestinian was apprehended attempting to bring a knife through the Shuafat checkpoint, Israeli Police reported.

The suspect was crossing the checkpoint towards Jerusalem. While checking his bag at the x-ray machine, Israeli security officers found a wrapped knife concealed inside of the bag. Border police reached the checkpoint, neutralized the suspect and seized the knife.

The suspect, 17, is a resident of the Shuafat refugee camp. He was apprehended and is now being held by police for interrogation.
