Pioneers get best of arch-rival Hammers in Israel Football League

A full slate of Kraft Family Israel Football League games saw the Tel Aviv Pioneers hold off the Ramat HaSharon Hammers, 32-20, the Judean Rebels completely dominate the Petah Tikva Troopers, 84-0, and the Haifa Underdogs beat the Beersheba Black Swarm 51-6.
With the IFL taking a week off for the Super Bowl, all teams get some much needed rest before the regular-season’s final push heading into the playoffs.
The Rebels (6-1) will travel to Haifa next Friday morning hoping to avenge their season-opening loss. The Troopers (0-7) get an extra week off before hosting the Underdogs (4-1) the following week. The Pioneers (4-2) will travel to Maaleh Adumim to face the Jerusalem Lions (5-1), while the Black Swarm (2-5) travel to play the Mazkeret Batya Silverbacks (1-5) in a crucial game with both teams are jockeying for the final postseason berth.
