Israel Police Commissioner Insp-Gen. Roni Alsheich said on Sunday that the two ongoing investigations involving Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have entered the final stretch and, according to his estimates, are due to culminate in the coming weeks.

"We are giving the investigation a serious push, I can't say how long it will last, but my assessment is that it will not take more than a few weeks," he said.

Police have questioned the premier multiple times in recent weeks over two separate criminal cases involving allegations of abuse of office.
