The Knesset Ethics Committee suspended MK Meir Porush (UTJ) from giving speeches in the plenum for two weeks as punishment for handcuffing himself to the podium in July.

Porush used the handcuffs to protest a bill requiring haredim to enlist in the IDF.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein submitted a complaint against Porush to the Ethics Committee soon after.
