Projectile hits open field in southern Israel; None hurt

A projectile was launched from the Gaza Strip on Monday night and landed in an open area near the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council in southern Israel, the IDF said.

No injuries and no damage was reported, but forces are still scouting the area.

A red siren alert was not activated as it was detected early on that the projectile was aimed at an open area.
