Sheikh Sirajuddin Zureiqat released a statement on twitter Thursday claiming credit for the rocket attack by the Abdullah al-Azzam Brigades, a Sunni jihadist group.

"Abdullah Azzam Brigades and the Ziad al Jarah Brigades are behind the firing of the four rockets," read the statement.

Another tweet said that the rockets have a range of over 40 km.Zureiqat also took a swipe at Hezbollah, stating that "the responsibility of the Iranian party [Hezbollah] in guarding the Jews, will become a difficult task."

The Abdullah Azzam Brigades is designated as a terrorist organization by the US government. According to the US State Department website, the organization was created in 2009 and is based both in Lebanon and the Arabian Peninsula.
