Russia's Putin says no plans to extend air strikes to Iraq

SOCHI - Iraq's government has not asked Russia's military to combat Islamic State militants on Iraqi territory, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

Speaking at a forum in the Russian city of Sochi, Putin said he had no plans to extend the scope of Russian air strikes beyond Syria.
