Shin Bet arrests two Arab-Israelis for ISIS involvement

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Israeli Police arrested two Arab-Israelis brothers from the town of Umm el-Fahm on suspicion of involvement with ISIS last month, according to the Shin Bet on Friday.The security forces raided the home of Mahmoud 'Abd al-Karim Qassem Jabarin, 25 years old, and Na'im 'Abd al-Karim Qassem Jabarin, 20 years old, and found ISIS paraphernalia and a Carl Gustov gun on the roof of their home.Mahmoud was indicted on charges of collaboration with a foreign agent and Na'im was charged for possession of illegal weapons.According to the investigation, Mahmoud intended to leave Israel to join ISIS in Syria with the aid of a former Umm el-Fahm resident who has been in Syria since 2014.The investigation also revealed that Naim swore allegiance to ISIS head Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, thus identifying himself an ISIS activist.The Shin Bet stated that the organization will continue to track down Israeli ISIS terror suspects, who are a severe threat to Israel’s security.
