Police arrested a 39-year-old suspect from Ashdod on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into an organ trafficking ring.

Negev police said last week that the traders had promised girls aged 18 to 20 tens of thousands of dollars to travel to Turkey and undergo transplant surgery. The main suspect in the case was still at large.

The Ashdod man is also suspected of obstruction of justice, aggravated forgery and fraud.
