Top Israeli mobster arrested in Argentina

Yaakov “Akka” Shimon, a notorious Israeli mobster was arrested in Argentina the Israel Police announced on Tuesday and police are seeking to extradite the suspect. 


Shimon, who is thought to be the heir of the Abergil crime syndicate, is suspected of involvement in multiple murders in Israel. 


The arrest, is part of the larger police investigation termed “Case 1131,” into a number of mob-related murders. Police have filed 15 indictments in Case 1131.
