Turkey prosecutors seek 5 years in jail for pro-Kurdish party leader

ISTANBUL - Turkish prosecutors have prepared an indictment seeking five-year jail sentences for pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-leader Selahattin Demirtas and another HDP lawmaker for spreading "terrorist group propaganda," Dogan news agency said.

Many HDP lawmakers are facing prosecution after President Tayyip Erdogan successfully lobbied for them to be stripped of their parliamentary immunity in May
