Turkey's Erdogan reportedly held call with Saudi king, Qatar emir

ANKARA - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan held telephone discussions with both the Saudi king and the emir of Qatar, presidential sources told Reuters on Saturday, a likely sign of further talks over the Saudi-led campaign in Yemen.
Turkey has publicly supported fellow Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies against the Iran-allied Houthi insurgents in Yemen. Qatar has contributed 10 fighter jets to the campaign, according to Gulf media.
Erdogan had the discussions about "regional issues" on Friday evening, the sources told Reuters, without specifically naming Yemen.
