CUIABA, Brazil – Rishon Lezion- based security company RISCO Group is providing security management at the soccer stadium in Cuiaba, Brazil.

The state-of-the-art 41,000-seat Arena Pantanal, which cost $537 million to build, is one of the 12 host venues for the World Cup.

The project includes coordinating hundreds of Internet- protocol security cameras deployed in the stadium and its surroundings, lighting systems, gates and the PA system through a command and control center.

Three games have so far been played there in the tournament, all without incident.

“We got the project last summer, and by December the solution was up and running almost completely,” RISCO Group executive vice president Hemy Fintsy told The Jerusalem Post.

“Since then, until a few weeks ago, we worked on fine-tuning and testing.”

RISCO Group has had a presence in Brazil for many years and is known for its high-quality products.

“For the purpose of this project, we joined forces with a local system integrator that was bidding for this project,” Fintsy said. “The system integrator also represents Panasonic and other infrastructure products. Our solutions met all the requirements of the bid in terms of functionality and timetable. We offered field proven solutions that were flexible enough to meet the requirements of the tender.”

RISCO Group sent an Israeli to advise as project manager. The rest of the work was done by a small technical team in Brazil and the system integrator team.
