Iron Dome and Arrow: IDF aims to impress Obama

Israel's defense establishment completed preparations to show off military technology to President Obama.

The Ministry of Defense, in charge of the welcoming ceremony for the US president, completed preparations  on Tuesday for the visit of US President Barack Obama.

"After weeks of preparation and planning, we are prepared for the arrival of President Barack Obama," head of operations at the Defense Ministry said.

In a special 80-meter area at Ben Gurion Airport, the Israel Defense Forces will mark the start of Obama's three-day trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories with a display of anti-missile defenses, funded partly by the United States. The display will include the Iron Dome, the Magic Wand, Arrow 2 and Arrow 3.

Some 250 guests, 250 VIPs and 300 journalists from Israel and around the world will attend the official welcoming ceremony at the airport midday Wednesday.
