Thieves break into IDF base, steal soldier's rifle

Unknown assailants infiltrate Naftali camp in North, tie up the soldier on guard duty and steal weapon before escaping.

Unknown assailants infiltrated the IDF's Naftali camp near the Golani junction in the North early Saturday morning and stole a weapon.

The infiltrators tied up the soldier on guard duty, stealing his weapon before escaping.

Military police have opened an investigation into the incident. According to Army Radio, military police are searching the area for the suspects.

A similar incident occurred last October, when masked men entered the same base and bound the soldier on guard duty. The assailants stole four weapons from the guards on duty before escaping. Military police believed that the infiltrators received assistance from within the base.
