International Jewish parliamentarians to meet with MKs

The meetings were organized by the World Jewish Congress, in coordination with the Knesset and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A delegation from the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians, headed by Congressman Eliot Engel and under the auspices of the World Jewish Congress, will meet Monday with members of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus to discuss leveraging relations with parliamentarians of other faiths.
The meeting will also focus on the cooperation of he MKs with their sister caucus in Congress, the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus.
The international Jewish parliamentarians are in Jerusalem for three days of discussions and meetings with senior members of Knesset and Israeli government officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, opposition leader Isaac Herzog, Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid and Education Minister Naftali Bennett.
The meetings were organized by the World Jewish Congress, in coordination with the Knesset and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Engel, who is chairman of the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians, is also co-chairman of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus. The ICJP delegation includes Jewish legislators from around the world, including parliamentarians from Ukraine, Romania, Belgium, France, Brazil, Chile and Canada. Former Canadian Justice Minister Irwin Cotler, outgoing deputy chairman of the ICJP, will also attend.
“The Congressional Israel Allies Caucus is the most effective bipartisan voice in support of Israel on Capitol Hill,” said the head of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, Yisrael Beytenu faction chairman Robert Ilatov. “We are honored to once again host our sister caucus at the Knesset to discuss our vital cooperation.”
