A new Maariv poll shows Likud at its weakest level since June 2025, while Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar reaches a record 23 seats and Bennett maintains his lead over Netanyahu in the prime ministerial race.
First-time voters are expected to account for about 8.7% of all eligible voters in the upcoming election, the largest such wave since the establishment of the state.
The decision came after Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar reached an understanding with Lionel Aingimea, Nauru's deputy president and foreign affairs, trade and justice minister.
Candidates running who are currently members of the Knesset include National Missions Minister Orit Strock, along with MKs Michal Woldiger, Ohad Tal, Zvi Sukkot, and Simcha Rothman.
"Instead of a civil war, we were brothers fighting shoulder to shoulder to repel those who seek our lives," he added, pointing out that the nation "saved Israel together."
Kariv also addressed remarks by The Democrats Party chairman Yair Golan criticizing the settlement movement, saying Golan’s criticism had been directed at illegal outposts and centers of violence.
The government claimed it intended to complete the legislation after the elections, according to the High Court.
The Knesset told the High Court that lower professional standards among Supreme Court appointees could be justified by greater public trust and a more diverse judiciary.
Channel 12 poll shows Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar leading with 24 seats, while Eisenkot remains ahead of Netanyahu as the preferred candidate for prime minister.
According to the index, 53% of Israelis are completely certain whom they will vote for, while another 29% are fairly certain of their decision.
“I call on the people of Israel, in a clear voice: remember that elections are not a civil war," Herzog said ahead of Israel's upcoming elections.
