By next election the Kadima party will not exist, former Kadima chair Tzipi Livni said late Wednesday, according to an Army Radio report.
Speaking
at a symposium at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Livni
responded to a question by the audience on whether or not Kadima would
participate in next year's election. "Kadima will not exist in next
year's election," she said.
Shaul Mofaz
defeated Livni for the chair of the party on March 27, and just days later resigned from her post as a member of Knesset.
Sources close to Mofaz said that the new Kadima leader had
tried to woo Livni to remain part of the party, but that Livni had declined the offer.
Since her defeat, Livni has made only rare public appearances.
