The new ultra-Orthodox Haredi Public Party led by the deputy mayor of Beit Shemesh, Moti Leitner, launched on Sunday with a large-scale advertising campaign in major haredi cities.
The attorney-general cited concerns identified in High Court rulings that a government operating during an election period may prioritize “narrow party interests” over the public interest.

At the center of the dispute was a set of election rules approved by the Likud Constitution Committee, headed by Katz and supported by Netanyahu.
