Republican candidate Mitt Romney will be much better for Israel than current president Barack Obama, business magnate Donald Trump told MK Danny Danon (Likud), who is currently visiting the US.
Trump said he has joined Romney’s campaign, and is certain that if he becomes president, US-Israel relations will improve.
The Apprentice host has visited Israel in the past, and said he may come again in September.
Trump explained that he has several businesses in Israel, and he is considering expanding them.
“Israel needs more supporters like you, who carry weight in the public opinion and the business sector,” Danon told Trump. “Israel is grateful for your actions. Your support is important to us in continuing our diplomatic battles.”
Trump had a very positive attitude, and said he would love to help, because Israel is very important to him, Danon told The Jerusalem Post.
Danon and Trump also discussed the businessman’s daughter, Ivanka, who converted to Judaism in order to marry New York Observer and Kushner Properties owner Jared Kushner. Ivanka Trump visited Israel in 2009 to scout real estate properties for her father’s company.
