El Al Mayday Call, Toronto
El Al flight LY030 was forced to make an emergency landing at Toronto's Pearson International Airport after one of the plane's engines caught fire and began leaking fuel, according to reports Tuesday.
The plane was en route from Toronto to Tel Aviv when the aircraft suffered engine failure after an "explosion or combustion" occurred on the right side of the plane and the pilot was forced to return to Toronto.
The aircraft reportedly departed at 5:53 p.m. ET and the mayday call was issued around 7:10 p.m.
Emergency crews were dispatched at the Canadian airport, anxiously awaiting the aircraft's return, however the El Al flight landed without incident.
There were no reports of any injuries or casualties.
