Nephew of first Arab Israeli Police commander murdered

The identity of the assailant is know to police and a search is underway to find him.

The nephew of the the first Arab commander in the Israel Police, Jamal Hachrush, was shot to death early Saturday morning.
Anaan Muhammad Hachrush, the 48-year-old nephew of Jamal Hachrush, was shot in his vehicle near a local bank in the village of Kfar Kanna. He was taken to the Poria Medical Center in Tiberius by Magen David Adom but was declared dead a short while after his arrival.
The identity of the assailant is know to police and a search is underway to find him.
Close family members of the victim told Maariv "The deceased is the son of Jamal's oldest sister. As far as we know, he wasn't threatened by anyone. We hope the police will find the murderer. The family will make a formal statement after they receive additional information regarding the shocking murder." The deceased worked in household electronics and leaves behind a wife and two children; a daughter, 21, and a son, 17.
The village denounced the murder. According to the family, if they had known of the conflict between the deceased and others, they would have found a peaceful solution.
