Children were among those killed when warplanes targeted rural Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Sunday.
Video posted on a social media website on Sunday appeared to show thick smoke rising from locations in Harasta in Eastern Ghouta during what was said to be an air strike.
More footage released by the civil defence group known as the White Helmets purported to show the immediate aftermath of the air strikes in Hamoryah, also in Eastern Ghouda, as rescuers were seen running through debris-covered streets to recover the injured and the dead. Several children with visible injuries were seen being carried to waiting vehicles.
At least four people were killed, including three children, and around 27 others were injured in the air strike targeting Hamoryah, which is under the control of al Rahman Brigade, said the Britain-based war monitor.
