Across the country, Israelis participate in ceremonies and celebrate Independence Day in style.

Ceremonies, festivities and general revelry around the country marked Israels 65th Independence Day anniversary on Tuesday.

Government officials attended ceremonies throughout the day, as President Shimon Peres took park in a "Independence Day singing with the President" ceremony with IDF soldiers, where Peres was joined by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to wave and shake hands with excited soldiers.

The Israel Air Force (IAF) held special exhibits and activities at air force base museums, and they also conducted a IDF jet fly-by over Israel.
