Primary season is in full swing in the United States, and Israelis are watching with bated breath as the process to select the next president unfolds. Israelis sees US politics as tremendously important to their own political well-being. The US is Israel's biggest, strongest, and most important alley.

Following Ted Cruz's Iowa win, Donald Trump leads in polls ahead of Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. Marco Rubio will seek to maintain his "marco-mentum" after finishing ahead of the establishment pack in Iowa. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton seems fated to lose to Bernie Sanders, but is trying hard to close the gap. What result would be best for Israel?

Knesset Reporter Lahav Harkov tells us which candidates are getting Israel's attention, and who Israel's right-wing, in particular, is hoping will win. We also discuss what it means for Israel to have an opinion in US elections, and where to draw the line between self-interest and interference.
