Gadot, who was a fashion model and actress in Israel and was crowned Miss Israel 2004 before breaking into the film industry, served two years of compulsory service in the Israel Defense Forces.

She got her big break in the "Fast and the Furious" movie series and has received rave reviews for her portrayal of the iconic superhero, which has solidified her place as a Hollywood mainstay.

Gadot's representation of DC Comics' ultimate heroine in the modern amalgamation of the classic narratives of Superman and Batman embodies "a symbol of women's roles," the film's producer commented in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

Although Gadot has been spending plenty of time in Hollywood, she calls Tel Aviv her home, where she resides with her husband and children.

The model-turned-actress is looking forward to her own Wonder Woman spinoff, as well as a role in The Justice League series.
