Alongside this exciting achievement, another milestone has been reached: Newly appointed Captain Adar Madutzky joins her father, who has served as an Arkia captain for more than 15 years. For the first time in the airline’s history, a father and daughter will serve together as captains
Last week, Arkia held a festive and moving ceremony to mark the certification of two new captains, Idan Bahbut and Adar Madutzky, who successfully completed the challenging training process and were certified as captains in the airline’s Airbus A320/321 fleet.
Adar’s certification marks two milestones in Arkia’s history. She is the first female pilot to be certified as a jet captain at the airline. At the same time, for the first time in the company’s history, a father and daughter will serve together as captains. Her father, Tal Madutzky, has served as an Arkia captain for more than 15 years in the airline’s Embraer fleet. His daughter Adar now joins him among the airline’s captains.
Adar and Idan received their certifications following an extensive professional training process. Upon its completion, they joined the team of captains operating Arkia’s Airbus A320/321 fleet.
