The truth about living on Israel’s front line has been buried - opinion

Such a view is almost majestic, and it has brought so much peace to my weary soul over the past 3 months that I have been blessed to live in Tiberias.

But this picturesque vision was instinctively and immediately interrupted as my thoughts went back to that horrible day of October 7, 2023. This is when numerous paragliders entered Israel from Gaza with terrorists armed to the teeth and took part in the massacre of 1200 people!

Now it is a Shabbat morning in July of 2026; I awoke really early once again, and I turned off my air-conditioning and opened my windows to get a little bit of a draft and fresh natural air in.

I’m Danish, so my Northern European body is conditioned for a cooler climate, so living with AC is still not natural for me. I know now that this is not possible with the kind of heat we are having in Tiberias right now near the Sea of Galilee.

So with the open windows and the very loud noises I hear, along with living in the northern Galilee region, I’m reminded about how Hezbollah in Lebanon had everything ready to carry out an even bigger assault and massacre inside Israel.

Hezbollah intended for this attack to be even larger than the one we experienced by Hamas on October 7. In fact, Hezbollah was getting ready to attack Israel in the same way, which made me sick just to think about seeing that electric paraglider flying right over my house and making my pulse go up instantly.

The IDF has destroyed numerous amounts of the larger tunnels; they are massive tunnel networks created by Hezbollah in their preparation for attacking Israel as I mentioned above.

Findings from these operations indicate that this particular area was heavily fortified and contained extensive terrorist infrastructure. In addition to the significant underground tunnel route previously dismantled in the area, two additional underground routes have now been dismantled.

The two tunnel routes had a combined length of approximately 200 meters and reached a depth of about 20 meters. Inside, troops discovered living quarters, three launch shafts aimed toward Israeli territory, and dozens of weapons.

In addition, during other searches in the area, the troops located a cache of weapons including mortars, launchers, and RPG rockets.

I’m so unbelievably grateful now that I have been living in the Galilee, that all the brave men and women in uniform who are fighting these evil proxies of Iran!

Their work is causing Hezbollah and other factions to be pushed farther up into Lebanon. This creates and broadens the security zone between Israel and Lebanon, which is something any nation would do to protect its people!

The north of Israel is still terribly affected by the war against Hezbollah, since all the people who have had to flee their homes lost everything. Additionally, many people have still not returned, and the economy affecting so many people in the north is devastating.

Unfortunately, the toll from several precious soldiers who were killed in battle while fighting these evil terrorists in Lebanon and also in Israel came from attacks when soldiers were hit by rocket and drone fire.

On the world stage, so many leaders around the world are continue their rants of condemning Israel, but publicly, they act as if they do not have a clue of reality about the terror infrastructure in Gaza and also in Lebanon.

So, when Israel is being condemned for doing what they absolutely must do in self-defense, it’s repulsive and widely condemned by these treacherous leaders.

The American military has been bombing sites in Iran for a number of days in a row, with Iran attacking American sites throughout the Middle East in retaliation as of this moment when I am writing.

However, things will most likely change after the upcoming visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House this coming Tuesday; as of now, things are still calm here in Israel, but we are on high alert.

America has deployed dozens of additional aerial refueling aircraft to Israel as US President Donald Trump reviews options for an expanded military campaign against Tehran. Will Israel join in? Time will tell.

This is something that has kept us in a waiting pattern in Israel, which actually makes it stressful to arrange and plan things like I have to do, along with finding new housing and moving back home to Jerusalem by August 23rd.

But hey, when I moved up here, and I was arriving outside my new home, it was just in time to see both rocket and missile alerts sound off on my phone; we were under fire from both Lebanon and Iran simultaneously!

While we have had missiles, rockets and drone fall out of the sky into Israel, and one after the other of horriffic terror attacks where another Jew were murdered just for being Jewish which happened just yesterday when Yuval Ezra, 27, and Benayahu Mellet, 32, were brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in Samaria, these inept leaders in Europe are again obsessed raining down condemnation and sanctions against the Jewish people living in Judea and Samaria, or anyone doing business with them!

One example is the five key European members of the United Nations Security Council, who united to caution businesses that were bidding for construction contracts in Jewish communities beyond the so-called “green line.”

They went on to threaten legal consequences and promised damage to these companies’ reputations.

Shame on France, Denmark, Greece, Latvia and the United Kingdom. I’m deeply saddened as a Danish citizen that Denmark is taking part in this!  This strong irony is absolutely repulsive and inexcusable!

However, the reality is that while so many nations are busy condemning Israel in numerous areas, when they really need to learn things to help them, what is the nation that they go to for expertise? – It’s Israel!

When hospitals around the world want to learn about resilience, they come to Israel. Last week, healthcare leaders from across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa gathered at Ichilov Hospital to learn practical lessons in emergency preparedness, hospital resilience, and crisis management from Israel's frontline experience.

How about that?!

So when nations around the world are coming against Israel, and especially the majority of the incompetent leaders of the European Union who are painfully howling in the same anti-Israel choir, it is poignant to note that their respective countries are being overrun by Muslims as they slide away from their Christian heritage. As I watch this happen to these nations, it is truly both sad and appalling to me.

But should we be surprised by the way Europe is being overrun? Nope! Not when they have spineless leaders who clearly don’t have the guts to stand up for Christian values, which their nation was built on.

Christian holidays that were once widely celebrated are also being challenged by the Muslim influx into their respective nations, which affects their decision-making process as a government.

This consequence is causing them to slide away from basic truth, reality, and history when it comes to the nation of Israel being deeply influenced by all of the lies and propaganda coming against Israel.

The truth has been deeply buried, but I will not stay silent, but I will continue to stand with the only democracy in the Middle East, and the world’s only Jewish State which has brought so much light and blessings to the world.

Hopefully things will come together, and I can get the funds, hire a coworker, and obtain the equipment that I need to do professional broadcasts, podcasts, and interviews.

This is vital, because there are thousands of people here in Israel who need to share their stories with the world, so we can come against all of these lies and propaganda.
