Ivanka Trump's clothing line is reporting it achieved record sales numbers in the month of February.
“Since the beginning of February, they were some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand,” Abigail Klem, the president of the Ivanka Trump fashion brand reported on Wednesday, according to The Hill.
Refinery29 wrote that e-commerce aggregator Lyst reported that from January to February, the clothing lines' sales increased 346 percent.
“For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the [brand’s] best performance ever," she added.
This good news came after Nordstrom said in early February it would no longer carry Ivanka's product line, a move prompted President Donald Trump to tweet against the retail chain saying it treated his daughter "unfairly."
In January Ivanka announced she was taking a formal leave of absence from the company and said she would "no longer be involved with the management or operations."
Some speculated that the US President's daughter made the move due to the negative attention her brand had start receiving shortly after her father entered the presidential race.
Klem, who is Ivanka's business partner, is a registered Democrat says she tries not to talk to Ivanka too often to avoid a conflict of interests, saying that "I really like Ivanka. We're business associates. We're very close in a way. … But I want to do this with real integrity. So I feel like, while we're not banned from speaking personally, I think it's easier if we talk as little as possible.”
