Trump: Palestinians' turn for a gift after Jerusalem embassy move
Addressing a rally in West Virginia, Trump said that the Palestinians would soon "get something very good" in return for the May embassy move "because it's their turn next."

WASHINGTON -- Israel will pay a "high price" in its negotiations with the Palestinians because it won something "very big" with America's relocation of its embassy to Jerusalem, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday night.PM Netanyahu speaking at the deditcation ceremony for the Jerusalem US embassy, May 14, 2018 (GPO)Addressing a rally in West Virginia, Trump said that the Palestinians would soon "get something very good" in return for the May embassy move "because it's their turn next." The Palestinian Authority cut off contact with the Trump administration late last year after Trump announced the embassy move and recognized the holy city as Israel's capital.The president has made similar comments before. "We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table," Trump wrote on Twitter in January, "but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more."His comments came at the end of a rambling rally largely focused on domestic issues.Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is working with other top administration officials on a comprehensive peace plan for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The team has said that neither side will be entirely satisfied with its contents, but refuses to say when it will be released.
